Dione

Heavenly red

The (non-perforated) facing brick is sanded on five sides. The surface may be given a frog (a slanted oblong groove) on its bed. The firing process takes place in a gas-heated tunnel kiln. The bricks have a rough structure, irregular shape, and a strong resemblance to recovered bricks. The brick’s retro appearance is achieved by using a tumbling process.

The brick has a red base, and the colour variations show hues ranging from red-brown to beige alternated with brown and white shadings. The ageing process also influences the colour shades. The colours shown are a near reflection of reality.

I would like to see some references of this brick, in my area.
