Horta

Horta, a grey hand-moulded brick

The (non-perforated) facing brick is sanded on five sides. The surface may be given a frog (a slanted oblong groove) on its bed. The structure looks rugged with fine and irregular grooves in the sandy surface. The firing process takes place in a gas-heated tunnel kiln.

The brick has a light grey base. The colour variations show a pastel shade ranging from grey to beige, alternated with yellow, reddish-brown and black nuances. The colours shown are a near reflection of reality.
