Valetta

An ochre facing brick at its best

The (non-perforated) facing brick is sanded on five sides. The surface may be given a frog (a slanted oblong groove) on its bed. The structure looks rugged with fine and irregular grooves in the sandy surface. The firing process takes place in a gas-heated tunnel kiln.

The brick has an ochre base. The various types of sand are responsible for calcareous sediment slightly diminishing the ochre colour. The colour variations contain ochre shadings alternated with white and purple-brown shadings. The colours shown are a near reflection of reality

I would like to see some references of this brick, in my area.
